Fair Use Policy
InterviewCaddy is designed to support real interview preparation and coaching needs. This Fair Use Policy describes how we ensure the Service is available, fast, and affordable for all users.
What "Fair Use" means
We do not charge per call, per minute, or per session. All paid plans include generous usage limits intended to support an active job search.
Fair Use means using the Service in a way that is consistent with how interview preparation actually happens — multiple sessions per week during an active search, intensive use in the weeks before scheduled interviews, lighter use between cycles.
Fair Use does NOT include:
- Automated or scripted use of the Service
- Account sharing (multiple people using one paid account)
- Reselling access to the Service
- Volume use that consistently exceeds typical individual job search activity
- Use that interferes with the Service's availability for other users
Usage limits
All accounts are subject to the following limits, which may change with notice:
Hourly limits
- Maximum saved sessions per hour: [configurable per plan]
- Maximum session starts per hour: [configurable per plan]
Daily limits
- Maximum saved sessions per day: [configurable per plan]
- Maximum session starts per day: [configurable per plan]
- AI model spending cap (free tier): [configurable]
Monthly and annual limits
- Maximum saved sessions per cycle: [configurable per plan]
Per-answer limits
- Maximum regenerations per answer: [configurable per plan]
Current limits are documented in the application and may differ by plan. We may adjust limits to balance availability, performance, and cost.
When you hit a limit
When you approach or hit a usage limit:
- The Service displays a clear message indicating which limit was reached
- You may continue using features that do not require that limit
- Limits reset automatically at the start of the next applicable period
- For per-cycle limits, the cycle resets at the end of your billing period
Degraded service
If usage on a free account exceeds reasonable patterns (for example, sustained heavy use over multiple days that approaches the cost of a paid plan), we may temporarily downgrade certain capabilities, such as switching to less expensive AI models. This ensures the free tier remains available without disrupting overall Service quality.
When degraded service is active:
- You are notified within the application
- Core functionality remains available
- Premium AI models are restored when usage normalizes or when you upgrade to a paid plan
What we monitor
We monitor aggregate usage patterns to detect:
- Abuse of free tier limits
- Account sharing or credential leaks
- Automated/scripted access
- Patterns inconsistent with individual interview preparation
We do NOT monitor the content of your sessions for the purpose of evaluating Fair Use. Content review is governed by our Privacy Policy.
Enforcement
For violations of this Policy, we may:
- Send you a notice describing the violation
- Temporarily limit access to the Service
- Suspend or terminate your account in cases of severe or repeated violations
We will provide reasonable notice and an opportunity to address the issue, except in cases involving security risks, billing fraud, or other immediate harms.
Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
